RESPONSIBLE AI

Responsible AI & AI Tools Terms

At Aduax we use artificial intelligence (ORION and LIVIA) to make tariff classification and trade-compliance guidance faster and more accurate across U.S.–Mexico trade. This page explains how we use it and the terms that govern those tools.

🤖 AI-assisted. LIVIA and ORION generate classifications and answers using artificial intelligence. Results are advisory and subject to review by a licensed U.S. customs broker before being used in any formal entry.

Responsible use of artificial intelligence at Aduax

We use AI guided by clear principles:

Legitimate purpose

Our tools exist to support the classification of goods and regulatory compliance. They are not designed or deployed to manipulate behavior to anyone’s harm, to discriminate, or for surveillance of individuals.

Human oversight

A licensed U.S. customs broker reviews output before any official submission.

Transparency

We clearly indicate when you are interacting with an AI system and what its scope is.

Accuracy and continuous improvement

We validate output and periodically audit tool performance.

Responsible data handling

We process uploaded data only to provide the service and do not collect biometric identifiers.

Recognized standards

We align the governance of our tools with recognized AI risk-management frameworks (e.g., the NIST AI Risk Management Framework).

Terms of Use — AI Tools (ORION and LIVIA)

These terms govern your use of our AI tools.

  1. 1
    Nature of the service

ORION is an AI-assisted tariff-classification platform that matches products against the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). LIVIA is an AI conversational assistant covering tariffs, classification, Section 232, AD/CVD, and compliance topics. Both tools are decision support, not a substitute for the professional judgment of a licensed U.S. customs broker.

  2. 2
    Advisory only; not definitive advice

Output from ORION and LIVIA is provided for informational and operational-support purposes. It does not constitute legal or tax advice or a binding tariff determination, and does not by itself create a customs-brokerage relationship. Suggested classifications and amounts must be reviewed and validated by a licensed Aduax customs broker before submission to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or any authority.

  3. 3
    User verification responsibility

Users are responsible for reviewing the accuracy of the data they provide (descriptions, MTRs, Excel files) and for confirming results with their compliance team. Aduax does not warrant that results are error-free or that they reflect regulatory changes occurring after the date of generation.

  4. 4
    Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aduax shall not be liable for losses, fines, delays, or penalties arising from the use of AI output that has not been validated by a licensed U.S. customs broker as required by these terms. This limitation is not intended to exclude liability that cannot be limited by law.

  5. 5
    Permitted use

The tools are offered for legitimate international-trade operations. Using them for unlawful purposes, to input third-party data without authorization, or to evade customs controls or sanctions is prohibited. Aduax is not responsible for third-party misuse of the tools.

  6. 6
    Human oversight

Every decision with regulatory effect is subject to human review by a licensed U.S. customs broker ("human-in-the-loop"). The AI does not file formal entries autonomously.

  7. 7
    Data

Uploaded files and data are processed to generate classifications and provide the service, and are not used to collect biometric identifiers. For how data is handled and retained, see our Privacy Notice (/aviso-privacidad) or contact [email protected].
