Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice describes how Aduax collects, uses, shares, and protects the personal data of people who visit aduax.us, use the contact form, interact with our AI assistant LIVIA, or create an account. We are a U.S. customs brokerage operating from Laredo, Texas, and we handle your data consistent with applicable U.S. privacy law, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA).
- 1
Who we are
Aduax International Trade is a U.S. customs brokerage located at 13109 Spivey Dr, Killam Industrial Park, Laredo, Texas 78045, USA. We are the business responsible for the personal data described in this notice. For any matter relating to this notice or your personal data, contact [email protected].
- 2
Personal data we collect
We collect only the data you provide or that is needed to deliver the service: (a) Contact form — name, email, and optionally company, service of interest, and the content of your message. (b) LIVIA AI assistant — the content of the messages you type; any files you choose to attach (images and PDFs, such as spec sheets, MTRs, invoices, or shipment documents); and, if you provide it, your email to continue the conversation. Using LIVIA without an account is anonymous. (c) Registration and account — name, email, company (optional), and password (stored encrypted; we do not see it in plain text). (d) Tariff calculator — the descriptions, codes, or Excel files you upload. (e) Technical usage data — session data and interaction events used to operate and improve the service. We do not request sensitive personal data. If you include third-party data in a message, file, or query, you represent that you have the authorization needed to share it.
- 3
How we use your data (purposes)
We use your data to: handle and respond to your contact request; operate LIVIA and generate answers and classifications from your messages and files; create and manage your account and authenticate access; perform the tariff-classification lookups you request; prevent fraud and abuse and maintain security; and improve and develop our services. With your permission, we may also send you commercial information about our services; you can withdraw that permission at any time by writing to [email protected] or using the unsubscribe link. We do not use your data for targeted advertising or to sell it.
- 4
Transfers and technology providers (including AI)
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not process it for targeted advertising. To operate the service we share data with service providers (processors) acting on our behalf and under contract: an email delivery provider (Resend) to deliver contact-form messages; one or more artificial-intelligence model providers and our backend (livia-brain) to process LIVIA messages and files and generate responses; and our ORION backend to validate account credentials. AI model training: the content and files you send to LIVIA are processed through AI model providers solely to generate the responses you request, subject to those providers’ terms; Aduax does not use your content to train or develop its own AI models. International processing: some of our service providers and infrastructure are located outside the United States, including in Mexico. By using the service, you understand that your data may be processed and stored outside the United States to deliver the service described here.
- 5
Data retention
We keep your personal data for up to 12 months from your last interaction with the service, unless you maintain an active account (in which case it is kept while the account exists) or a legal obligation requires a longer period. After the applicable period, data is deleted or anonymized.
- 6
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to: confirm whether we process your personal data and access it; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; obtain a portable copy of data you provided; and opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), these rights are available to Texas residents; residents of other jurisdictions may have similar rights under applicable law. You may also close your account at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

Cookies and local storage
aduax.us uses local storage and a session cookie that are necessary for the site to function: aduax_lang (remembers your preferred language); livia_expanded (remembers the LIVIA assistant view); tariff_token and tariff_user (keep you signed in for the tariff calculator and LIVIA); and an authentication session cookie (a technical, secure, httpOnly cookie). You can clear them in your browser settings; doing so will sign you out and reset your preferences. We currently do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If we add analytics tools in the future, we will update this notice before or when we do so.
- 8
We do not collect biometric data
Aduax does not capture, store, or use biometric identifiers (such as fingerprints, facial geometry, or voiceprints). Image analysis in LIVIA is limited to documents and goods related to tariff classification, not to identifying individuals.
